"Hope Heals Grief -  My IVF Journey"

 

Did you know that one in six couples worldwide are living with infertility? 

​

Most of my adult story has been overwritten by my drive to overcome infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss. My husband and I spent ten years to have our first son and another four before we had our second. We are forever grateful to be parents.

​

I created this series to increase awareness of infertility and to provide hope and healing to those walking this path -  with images outside of the stock photos of swollen bellies, baby fingers, and baby feet that are highlighted in fertility brochures and websites. 

​

"Hope Heals Grief" started as I was painting circles - As I looked at my cellular like paintings I was reminded of my embryos from my IVF cycles. This became "Embryos of Potential" and evolved into the series.
